Always seeing amazing street style shots year round from Australia it’s not a surprise we would start to see some amazing stores pop up over the years and a fashion week that has grown to impress; this year Australia took it to a new level by being the first fashion week to show Resort Wear only. I thinks it’s pretty clear that I have a serious love for Resort Wear; honestly who doesn’t want to live where people vacation and dress so. While Chanel, Gucci, & some other major players stuck with their usual destination extravaganzas for their Resort Collection previews, we did see some amazing local designers and big names like Oscar De La Renta choose down under as their backdrop. For me doing my normal trend research for my posts was a bit different and this fashion week wasn’t so much about picking out what major trends I think would stick, but more of looks that I want to wear this Spring/ Summer. The looks I saw at MBWA are exactly the direction I try to reach with my style, beach mixed with city. And not in a way that looks confused, but chic and casual and elegant. So rather than doing my normal trend reports I think this is more of a collage of looks you will hopefully be seeing in future Miss Maharaja blog posts.
